Dr. Kokozos , aka "Koko," earned a Ph.D. in Education, Culture & Society from the University of Pennsylvania; he also earned a BA and a Masters with an international studies focus from New York University. He loves to travel and has lived in Canada, Greece, and Turkey. His research focuses on inclusive teaching practices and human rights education in local + global contexts by applying a critical lens. His leadership focuses on promoting civic and global youth engagement. His current project, a collaboration with NC State, #PassTheMicYouth, is a celebration of project-based learning, digital activism, and adult/youth partnerships.
